Our Mission

The mission of Lily of the Valley Evangel Church (L.O.V.E.) is:

To continue to discern and come into agreement with the sovereign purposes of God for our church. (Romans 12:2-12)
That we may be a part of God's movement to impact the community of Martinsburg, and ultimately the whole world, with the life changing message of Yeshua the Messiah, without partiality to race, age, economic or social condition (Mt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8)

Our Beliefs

We believe:

In one God, eternally existent as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
The Bible (Old and New Testament) is God's inspired and infallaible Word and is the supreme standard and final authority for all conduct, faith and doctrine.
In the diety of the Yeshua the Messiah, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
That man was created in the image of God, but by willful transgression became sinful and is justly under the condemnation and wrath of God.
That the only salvation from this guilt and condemnation is through faith in the righteousness and atonement of Yeshua the Messiah. Salvation through Yeshua the Messiah is a free gift of God's love and grace.
In the personality of the Holy Spirit whose ministry is to reveal the Messiah to men, to convict of sin, to regenerate repentant sinners and, by His presence and power, to sanctify the lives of the redeemed instilling in them spiritual gifts for the edification of the church.
We believe baptism is only to be administered upon profession of faith in Yeshua the Messiah, by immersion, thus declaring faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior.
That a New Testament church is a body of believers, baptized by immersion, associated for worship, service and the spreading of the gospel of the grace of God to all the world.
That there will be a resurrection of the just and the unjust: the just, having been redeemed by the shed blood of Yeshua, to be with Him throughout eternity in glory; the unjust, having died impenitent and unreconciled to God, to eternal damnation.
We believe that the Torah is still relevant today and we honor God by meeting on the Sabbath, (sunset Friday-sunset Saturday), celebrating the Biblical feast and his commands concerning food.

Our Vision

Lily of the Valley Evangel Church is the vision of a church that stands like a lighthouse in the community. A church where a God filled environment exists, where those who are hurting, confused, frustrated, or depressed can find help, hope, deliverance, encouragement, guidance, and forgiveness.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is:

To bring people to a knowing, salvation in Yeshua the Messiah.
To develop believers into mature followers of the Messiah, equipped for ministry in the church as well as the world so that God's name is magnified.

Our Community

L.O.V.E. Church is involved in numerous outreaches throughout the community: the Berkeley County Diversity Council, The Berkeley County School's "Talk to Me" program, the Read Aloud Program, the Berkeley County Ministerial Association, Care Haven Nursing Home, CCAP/Loaves & Fishes, the Rescue Mission, the Salvation Army, the Tri-County Pastoral Association and Young Life youth ministry. "Yeshua went about doing good."Acts 10:38. How much more should we, the body of the Messiah, do also?
